Andrew Hill, Assistant Principal

I began my teaching career in 2006 having previously gained my French degree and PGCE at the University of Leeds. I started as a student teacher before qualifying to become a classroom French teacher, then moving on to the roles of Head of Year, Head of Languages and Advanced Skills Teacher (SLE - Specialist Leader of Education) before becoming Assistant Principal in 2017.

I am passionate about ensuring that every child in our community reaches their full potential within a welcoming and safe school environment. In particular, I enjoy seeing the development of our most able students, having spent the last 5 years developing a successful “Academically Most Able” support programme, and helping these learners realise their potential. Many of these students are now at, or have successfully completed degrees at Russell group universities which is a source of great pride. I currently lead on curriculum, assessment and data.
