Subject: Eid Celebrations and Authorised Absence 

Dear Parent/Carer

Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating this week.  Students have done really well with their fasting and have been supporting each other.  

As we approach the forthcoming Eid celebrations, we would like to clarify our arrangements regarding school attendance. 

In line with national attendance guidance and our school policy, we will authorise one day of absence for pupils observing Eid. This absence will be recorded as authorised for religious observance. 

As the exact date of Eid depends on the sighting of the moon and may vary, we ask that parents and carers inform the school as soon as possible of the specific date on which your family will be celebrating. This will allow us to ensure that the absence is correctly authorised and recorded. 

Please notify school attendance by email, telephone or text message, in advance wherever possible.
