Yr 8 Cinema Trip

Dear Parent/ Carer

I am writing to inform you of an exciting opportunity to reward some students in Year 8 who have successfully made an excellent start to the school year with a trip to the cinema to see ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’. The screening is booked for Thursday 13 November 2025 at 10am, Cineworld Wakefield. Students will attend PDG and part of lesson 1. We will travel to the cinema by coach and return to school by 12.50pm. Please return the reply slip below by Monday 10 November 2025.

Students will have fun celebrating their achievement of excellent attendance and their outstanding attitude to learning. We feel that it is important to celebrate students who are making a positive start to their secondary school careers and being role models for their peers and strong members of their classes and year group. Thank you also for your efforts in ensuring good attendance.

It is essential for safety that the students involved follow the instructions given by staff, continuing to conduct themselves in a manner of which they are capable, being a credit to both themselves and the Academy.  A copy of our behaviour policy is available on request.  If a student needs to be returned to the Academy or brought home early from any visit, as a result of poor behaviour thereby creating a Health and Safety risk, a charge may be made for any costs incurred.

Students are required to wear their school uniforms as usual. They may bring extra snacks if they wish, but we request that they do not bring snacks that contain nuts. There will be no options to buy food or drink at the cinema.
