Year 11 Prom

Dear Parents/Carers

As tradition dictates, we love to hold an end of year Prom for our Year 11 students. This year is no different, however, due to popular demand we have agreed to hold this year's Prom off site! 

We have managed to come to an agreement with Wakefield Trinity RLFC who are excited to host this year's ‘OACF Prom 2026’ at their stadium. 

The date for this year's Prom will be Wednesday 1 July 2026. (Time TBC)

A few chosen students who are part of our Year 11 Prom Committee along with their head of year, Mr Duffy, have already paid a visit to the stadium and were very impressed with the venue and the package that Wakefield Trinity have offered. This will include:

  • Exclusive hire of the LED Studio Lounge at Wakefield Trinity 
  • Red carpet entrance
  • Use of  3 large LED screens for photos / backdrop
  • A P.A. system, stage and 2 x wireless microphones
  • 5-choice silver buffet (including halal and vegetarian options)
  • Access to the terrace overlooking the pitch for photos, including a picture in the stands and pitch-side photos.
  • Door security
  • Access to soft drinks at the bar (to be paid for by the students)

The price of this year’s Prom tickets will be £20.00.

We would require a deposit of £10.00 for any student wishing to attend this year's Prom, this amount is due before 01 March 2026 with the remaining amount due before 01 July 2026. However, if you wish to pay the full amount of £20.00 this is also an option. Please note, paying the deposit/full amount does not guarantee the student their place at Prom. Their overall behaviour in and around school will be a factor that contributes towards them attending. The right to attend Prom will still be at the discretion of the Principal, Mrs Colledge-Smith.

If your child wishes to proceed with a place they will need to make a payment via iPay.  If you do not have your iPay details please contact reception who can re-issue you a letter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Duffy, Year 11 Learning Manager to discuss.
